Heidelberg is a small friendly town in Jasper County, located in South Central Mississippi. The town is easily accessible by U.S. Highway 11, State Highway 528 or Interstate 59.

Jasper County is the #one gas and oil producing county in Mississippi, and most of this valuable asset is located in and around the Town of Heidelberg.

The estimated population of Heidelberg in 2003 was 823. The town covers 5.1 sq miles and was named for W.I. Heidelberg, a German immigrant.

Heidelberg offers the best of both worlds, a quiet rural atmosphere that is conveniently close to any city activity or resource. The Laurel metro area is 15 miles South of Heidelberg, Hattiesburg is 45 miles South, and Meridian is 35 miles North, all easily accessible on Interstate 59.
