SMALL TOWN
With a population of 840 at the 2000 census, Heidelberg is a 'home town' kind of place where you'll come to know most everyone. Enjoy the best of two worlds. Our town is a pleasant place to live, rural yet near all the 'city benefits' one could require. Heidelberg has a cost of living that is only 71% of the national average. According to the "United States Census Bureau", the town has a total area of 5.1 sq. miles. Most of it is land and 0.04 sq miles of it (0.39%) is water.
OIL PRODUCTION

GENERAL INFORMATION Heidelberg is a friendly town with a great sense of community, good educational facilities (public, private, and career vocational schools are available). The city also has a great climate. There is an average high temperature of 60 degrees in January and February. There is also convenient accessibility to state highways, airports, and larger cities. Heidelberg is located on Highway 528, which intersects Highway 11 and Interstate 59. Jackson International Airport is 80 miles away and to Key Field in Meridian is only 34 miles.
SPIRITUAL
Heidelberg offers a wide range of religious denominations to choose from, Baptist, Presbyterian, and Methodist are only a few. Some of these churches date back to the time the town was founded. The second oldest Catholic Church in the state is located in Paulding, just 12 miles away.
MEDICAL
There is a Jasper County Branch Health Center in Heidelberg, also two medical clinics, each with its own nurse practioner on duty. There are two law firms in Heidelberg and a wide range of businesses to support the town's needs.
